Sony unveiled its latest HDD Handycam camcorder, the Sony DCRSR46. This latest addition is big on space with a 40GB hard-drive boasting HDD Smart Protection Technology for long, hassle-free movie making with support for Memory Stick Duo, providing up to 27.5 hours of recording. There is a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens and 1/8"(2.25mm) HCCD with up to 40x optical zoom and 2000x digital zoom that captures vivid images without picture degradation and true-to-life detail with built-in zoom microphone to bring audio closer. With the 2.7" wide LCD touchscreen, shooters will have easy access to all necessary functions and a crystal-clear view of what's recording. Watching/burning movies is a breeze with the Handycam Station and its One-Touch Disc Burn and TV-out feature. It is powered by a InfoLithium battery and the Stamina Battery Pack (optional) for 10 hours of nonstop recording. Other highlights include Super SteadyShot, Super NightShot, and easy on-cam editing.
