F-104(STAR FIGHTER)was a supersonic single seat fighter"interceptor".it was manufactured in USA in 1954 and induced in PAF in 1961.STAR FIGHTER was one of the best fighter of its time with all weather capabilities.It had a very powerful engine(J79GE11A)with a thrust of 15000 lbs,thus it could fly maximum speed 1450mph/2.2 mach double the speed of sound.F-104 was basically designed to intercept very high flying targets.it could claimed to a hight of 58000 feet and could zoom to 9000 feet.F-104 had one built-in 20mm multi-barrel galting canon.aditionally it can also carry 2 AIM-9B air-to-air missiles.
Star fighter is also very effective in indo pak war1965 and 1971.star fighter were phased out of PAF in 1973.
